I am PSTC: Amber Sanes

After almost 8 years with the company and a handful of positions in several service departments, Amber Sanes was recently promoted to Assistant Service Manager at Peach State’s Forest Park location. Amber chalks her success and steady rise within the organization up to her attention to detail, ability to meet new challenges, and her focus on great communication with both inside and outside of the company. By meeting the needs of her customers and trusting the members of her team, Amber has been able to add great value to Peach State and continually grow as an industry professional.

“My background is in customer service and not the trucking industry, but having a firm understanding of the importance of putting people first has helped me excel in every position with the company.” said Amber, who has worked as a service advisor, a regional CIC or continuous improvement coordinator, and shop foreman, with the company.

Amber previously worked jobs in retail and call centers and found her way to Peach State when a family member told her about a job opening in McDonough. From there, Amber took to the warm family atmosphere and the well-tenured talent found at Peach State locations. Amber continually sought out additional opportunities for growth from management, using her skills and openness to learning new things to take on any new challenge that was sent her way. At this point in her career, Amber is taking on this new leadership role in stride. She is excited to learn from the current service manager and be a key leader in continuing service success at Forest Park.

“Since I’ve been with Peach State I’ve been open about my desire to move up and take on more responsibilities,” continued Amber. “I’ve had the opportunity to learn from some great people with years of experience and I am grateful to be trusted with new positions. Despite the growth of the company, I really appreciate how Peach State continues to feel like a family business where people on the executive level know who you are and greet you whenever they’re at your location. With this last promotion, I received a handwritten note from Rick Reynolds congratulating me. It’s all the little touches that Peach State continues to add to my everyday work life, that remind me that this is a great company to work for.”

One of Amber’s strengths is focusing on the customer relationship. As she moves into this new role, she will be utilizing both her knowledge of customer service combined with her knowledge of the shop to help Forest Park continue to excel, both in customer and employee experience. “Moving into a management role means I will need to learn as much as I can to best take care of Forest Park. Forest Park has always been in such good hands, and I want this transition to be seamless to where both our employees and customers continue to know that they will be taken care of.”

When she’s not with her Peach State family, Amber enjoys spending time with her own family, including her three-year-old, as well as reading—when she has the time.
